I went out to get some woodland shots, raw forest at the heart of untouched nature. I knew a part of the forest that was perfect for the shots I envisioned, I found earlier in the year but finding it was a mission, I took Archie with me and we set off around midday to catch the direct sun through the leaves.

After about an hour of walking down the path (that I thought was the right way), we almost walked out the other side of the forest (about 5 miles from where we started). I then decided we were way past where I found spot before. So we left the path and tried to go in the way that felt best and soon enough stumbled into the mirage of bright green grass, tall pines and ferns. The light pierced the tree tops and cast great lighting for shots from all sides.
